Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide advice to the Chief Communications Officer while upholding a high-quality service to the organization that covers marketing, branding, community engagement, and events services to HMC and its facilities. Provide guidance and leadership to the marketing team, subordinates, peers and internal clients. Lead a team dedicated to upholding and protecting the reputation of the organization, be a responsible steward of the HMC brand and work in close cooperation with the EDs of Communications.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as mentor and provide opportunities for young, early career Qataris to grow and develop into future leaders in the field of marketing communications.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of marketing strategy for HMC, its hospitals and services. Oversee the execution of those programs to deliver marketing objectives.
  • Model the role of an HMC marketing professional.
  • Advise CCO and other leaders on key opportunities and risks related to marketing while upholding HMC’s brand and reputation.
  • Leads on development and implementation of conferences and continuing professional development programs in close cooperation with Medical Education
  • Ensure a positive working relationship with local, regional and international entities, community groups, agencies, vendors and other organizations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of campaigns, branding initiatives, internal and external marketing, community engagement, and events.
  • Guide the day to day activities of the marketing department.
  • Proactively shape the corporate marketing agenda.
  • Provide quality assurance and oversight of all marketing related deliverables.
  • To build corporate capacity and capability in marketing by enabling appropriate support and resources based on business needs and objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marketing and media systems, tools and technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications plus Master’s Degree

Experience

12 years’ experience in Marketing out of which 5 years in Leadership capacity
