Job Specification


A highly skilled AI/NLP/ML Expert is required to support the development, maintenance and optimisation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, NLP systems, and data management activities within a large-scale digital transformation programme.


Key Responsibilities (Mandatory)

  • Develop and maintain NLP, ML and AI software applications.
  • Train custom machine learning and deep learning models.
  • Select, build and optimise ML classifiers.
  • Improve machine translation engines and evaluate MT quality.
  • Perform data mining, cleansing, and verification of data integrity.
  • Define data rules, implement data quality controls, and support anomaly detection systems.
  • Design IT architectures for NLP/ML/AI solutions, ensuring alignment with data management principles.
  • Analyse data architecture for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain BI and reporting tools.
  • Provide expert advice, technical studies and support for AI systems.
  • Support resolution of production issues when needed.
  • Produce clear and structured technical documentation.


Mandatory Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of Perl, Python, Matlab, R and NLP/ML libraries (SpaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn, pandas).
  • Strong understanding of ML algorithms (SVM, k-NN, Naive Bayes, Decision Forests, Neural Networks).
  • Strong data management knowledge and experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Unix, Bash.
  • Understanding of NLP lifecycle and agile methods.
  • Knowledge of MT quality metrics (e.g., BLEU) and evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Hive, Pig and information extraction.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase).
  • Experience with large datasets, unstructured databases and data lakes.
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL.
  • Strong applied statistics, scripting and programming skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams; strong communication skills.
  • EQF Level 7 (Master’s degree) or 5 years of higher education.
  • Proficiency in English.
