Tools Programmer
This is a great opportunity to join an internal engine team in Helsinki, working onsite in a highly collaborative environment and helping shape the technology behind multiple live and upcoming mobile games.
You’ll focus primarily on improving and extending a multi-platform editor, studio tools, and asset pipelines. You’ll work closely with game teams to solve workflow challenges, support integrations, and build tools that directly impact productivity and game quality.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining, improving, and developing editors, tools, and plugins for content creation and asset pipelines on desktop platforms
- Collaborating with coders, artists, and designers to identify workflow issues and iterate on technical solutions
- Implementing upgrades to the internal engine and shared tech supporting multiple live and in-development titles
- Supporting the integration of new features across multiple codebases and projects
- Troubleshooting technical issues for game teams and ensuring smooth tool and pipeline usage
- Helping maintain robust engine and shared systems used across the studio
What we're looking for:
- Strong professional experience with C++
- Extensive hands-on experience developing editors, tools, and workflows for game development
- Ability to quickly understand and work within large, existing codebases
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members
- A proactive, driven mindset with the ability to take ownership and see tasks through to delivery
- A genuine desire to support other developers and improve their productivity
