Senior Software Engineer – Software Defined Vehicles

A company is only as good as its people. And, as we always want to be at the top of our game, you’ll need to be there too if you want to work with us. We are currently looking for the right person to join our Embedded Data Processing and Algorithms Department.

Your Responsibilities Would Include

  • Create high-level distributed system architecture aligning with business requirements and technical constraints
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring that architectural standards and best practices are followed
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the architecture meets both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation (diagrams, design specifications, technical guidelines)
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure that the implementation aligns with the architectural vision and adheres to quality standards
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring the robustness and reliability of the software
  • Ensure that the architecture supports optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability of the software system
  • Work closely with other architects, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the software
  • Ensuring that the software architecture supports high-quality standards, including security, reliability, and usability

You Would Need To Meet The Following Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Working experience with:
    • Software Defined Vehicle concept (including HPC and Hypervisor)
    • AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive)
    • Object Oriented Analysis and Design
    • UML diagrams
    • Design Patterns
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve architectural issues and make decisions that balance technical and business needs
  • Knowledge in the following areas is considered an asset:
    • C, C++, C#, Java, Python
    • Embedded Software Development
    • Micro-controller hardware and peripherals
    • Requirement managing tools (DOORS)
    • Automotive processes and quality standards (SPICE, ASIL, HIS, MISRA)
    • Model Driven Development and MathWorks, MATLAB, Simulink or similar
  • Excellent communication, analytical and team working skills
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); German or French is considered an asset
