The Opportunity

As our Data Scientist, you'll play a foundational role in driving data strategy and unlocking the intelligence within our rich customer interaction data. You'll transform raw conversation data into predictive models that power personalized coaching experiences, working cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making across the company and make a lasting impact on AI-powered customer transformation.

What You'll Be Doing 🚀

• Conduct deep-dive analyses of customer interaction data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for improving customer interaction effectiveness and product strategies
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to analyze customer engagement, conversation quality, and optimize coaching experiences across chat, agent interactions, and product usage
• Build predictive models that enable our AI coaching engine to deliver precise, impactful recommendations that transform careers and businesses worldwide
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, ML, and research teams to inform product strategy and execution, translating business needs into data science solutions
• Partner with the data platform team to ensure robust data pipelines and scalable infrastructure for conducting advanced analytics on millions of customer interactions daily
• Design and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of coaching interventions and product features on performance
• Build experimentation capabilities and causal inference models to optimize user engagement and product experience
• Develop analytics capabilities that empower teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions
• Present complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders, driving innovation through data storytelling

What We're Looking For 🤩

Essential:

• Proven experience as a senior ML engineer with extensive background in model training, fine-tuning, leading projects from ideation to launch
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques using Python, SQL and R
• Experience working with large language models (LLMs), conversational AI, or agent-based systems
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn for building and evaluating models.
• Experimentation expertise with ability to build and evaluate models for A/B testing and causal inference
• Experience or interest in implementing MLOps practices, especially in generative AI environments (GenAIOps), is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Curiosity and customer-centricity with passion for deeply understanding user needs and finding solutions from first principles
• Adaptability and resilience, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with changing priorities and ambiguity

Bonus Points:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and GCP, for large-scale data analysis and model deployment
• Background in conversation analytics, communication data, or natural language or  audio processing
• Startup or founding experience, especially building data science capabilities from zero to scale
• Familiarity with data wrangling and building ETL pipelines is a strong plus, though not a core requirement.
