Project Overview
Nicholas O’Dwyer is providing Technical Assistance and Supervision services for a key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Gaziantep, Adıyaman, and Kilis provinces in Turkey. The programme includes the design, construction supervision, and operational planning of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and network rehabilitation. The work places a strong emphasis on sustainability, institutional capacity building, and resilience.

About The Role
Nicholas O'Dwyer is seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Engineer to support the technical assurance and delivery of key Water and Wastewater infrastructure design components.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- As a Senior Design Engineer, working in collaboration as part of a larger team is essential for this role.
- Will hold overall responsibility for coordination and validation of design packages including multidisciplinary integration and compliance with FIDIC standards.
- Take ownership and lead on technical matters on projects involving water/wastewater treatment and distribution infrastructure.
- Responsible for overseeing the review and revision of contractor-submitted design documentation.
- Support with coordination of work tasks across structural, civil, environmental, and MEP disciplines.
- Responsibility to maintain regular updates and communicate on project progress, both internally and externally with the client.
- Responsible for supporting and guiding junior design staff and CAD technicians in best practices.
- Maintaining a culture of continuous improvements across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
- To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves.
- A 3rd level degree, qualified in Civil Engineering is required.
- Well-developed and proven technical competence in Civil Engineering, with a background in Water or Wastewater preferred. A Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical background will also be considered.
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience and minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction or construction supervision of Water or Wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience in EU or other international funded projects.
- Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
- Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset.
