This role is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s information assets by managing and enhancing a comprehensive information security program. You will identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while ensuring compliance with policies and industry standards. The position requires advanced monitoring, threat detection, and incident response skills, along with collaboration across technical teams to enforce secure configurations and maintain robust defenses. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, capable of handling complex security incidents and providing clear guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to influence security strategy, improve operational resilience, and protect critical business information in a dynamic technology environment.

Accountabilities

  • Operate and continuously improve the information security program in accordance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and system logs, investigating and escalating potential incidents.
  • Conduct forensic investigations, log analysis, and incident documentation during security events.
  • Support vulnerability management by validating scan results, prioritizing critical findings, and assisting in remediation planning and execution.
  • Implement tactical remediation and configuration changes to mitigate risks and ensure policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enforce secure configurations across network devices, operating systems, cloud environments, and core applications.
  • Design and implement security monitoring improvements and automation workflows.
  • Document findings, technical methodologies, and lessons learned from security incidents.
  • Promote a security-conscious culture and provide guidance on risk management across all organizational levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in information security or a related role.
  • Relevant IT/Computer Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM technologies, log analysis tools, and advanced threat detection techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in incident response, malware analysis, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and SOC 2.
  • Understanding of security controls including IPS/IDS, patch management, system/network hardening, DLP, and MFA.
  • Experience with modern security solutions including EDR, WAF, JWT, and application control.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred certifications: CEH, OSCP, SSCP.
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, Azure Defender for Cloud, IAM, and Azure monitoring is an asset.
