Project Manager – Facilities (Gas Infrastructure)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the facilities scope for a large gas pipeline infrastructure project in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing major gas facility programs, including both greenfield and brownfield work. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the facilities portion of the project from detailed design through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders—including regulatory bodies and Indigenous communities.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets; track and report on project performance.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering and support teams.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior management, project partners, and external stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience.
  • Proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary energy infrastructure projects, including gas compression facilities.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with Indigenous communities and regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and effective budget management.
  • Solid background in safety leadership, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong strategic planning and business acumen.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
