Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to oversee the facilities scope for a large gas pipeline infrastructure project in British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing major gas facility programs, including both greenfield and brownfield work. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the facilities portion of the project from detailed design through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders—including regulatory bodies and Indigenous communities.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets; track and report on project performance.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering and support teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior management, project partners, and external stakeholders.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience.
- Proven track record managing large, multidisciplinary energy infrastructure projects, including gas compression facilities.
- Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with Indigenous communities and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and effective budget management.
- Solid background in safety leadership, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong strategic planning and business acumen.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and high-quality project delivery.
