Long-term contract opportunity for a data storyteller passionate about transforming complex information into actionable business insights.
We're looking for a highly skilled BI Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making across a market-leading Telco in Sydney. It's a 12-month contract with hybrid working (3/2 split) located in Macquarie Park, NSW, offering $650-675/day + Super (negotiable).
Responsible:
As a BI Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic business intelligence. Your core responsibilities will be:
- Design & Deliver Insight: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using leading BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strategic Analysis: Analyse complex, large datasets to pinpoint crucial trends, patterns, and actionable insights that guide business strategy.
- Data Reliability: Own the end-to-end reliability of their data. Identify and resolve data quality issues, perform data cleansing, and ensure the accuracy and performance of all reporting.
- Data Engineering Support: Collaborate on and support ETL workflows (Extract, Transform, Load) to ensure data pipelines are efficient and reliable for analysis.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Proactively engage with business users to understand their needs, translate complex business questions into analytical approaches, and present clear, concise recommendations.
- Optimisation: Utilise advanced SQL and data modeling techniques (like query and model tuning) to continuously optimise report and dashboard performance.
- Continuous Enhancement: Drive efficiencies by identifying opportunities to automate recurring analytics tasks and elevate their overall BI processes and reporting standards.
Requirments:
- Has proven experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Is proficient in developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Has strong skills in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Understands ETL concepts and best practices for data preparation and cleansing.
- Has excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present data insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Is a proactive self-starter with excellent project management skills, able to prioritise requests based on business urgency and impact.
