BUSINESS ANALYST

Nexeo Belgium is a consulting company supporting clients in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors throughout all stages of transformation projects — from business consulting to IT solution implementation.

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join one of our clients in the banking sector, within the Risk & Credits Tribe, focusing on the Risk Cluster, which manages the setup of risk data and calculation infrastructure.

Your role:

As a Business Analyst, you will support squads on key initiatives aimed at enhancing the risk infrastructure:

• Immovable Asset Data Management: Assist in migrating an aging mainframe application to a new Java-based distributed application, supporting new requirements such as ESG.
• Professional Loan Credit Acquisition: Participate in the development of a new credit origination tool that replaces three legacy applications, supporting front-office activities for professional credits, from small businesses to large corporates.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate end-user requirements into clear business requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure deliverables meet expectations, including code reviews and white-box testing.
• Use SQL to analyze data, define use cases, and verify results across the full portfolio.
• Document detailed use cases and expected system behavior.
• Support functional and non-functional requirement definition and development follow-up.

Profile:

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale IT projects.
• Experience supporting development squads in agile environments.
• Functional and technical analysis skills.
• Medium experience with SQL and standard MS tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Testing and validation experience.
• Preferable: experience with Java, JSON/REST, Java development frameworks, MQ Series/Kafka, complex security configuration, or credit/credit risk knowledge (Basel III).

Education & Language:

• University degree preferred, strong math skills.
• Languages: Fluent in English, plus good knowledge of Dutch or French.
