Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to either start or boost your Iteration Manager career. You will be working within 9Now, contributing to the audience-facing platforms and apps that deliver Nine’s content to millions of Australians. Join a team dedicated to creating and enhancing the apps that connect Australians, delivering seamless and engaging streaming experiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Facilitate Agile Practices: Implement and execute foundational agile practices independently. Make small adjustments to improve efficiency and remove impediments to the ability of the team to deliver.
  • Deliver with Agility: Formulate strategic delivery plans, including options analysis, risk analysis, delivery projections and release planning based on qualitative and quantitative techniques. Utilise tools effectively, facilitate planning and estimation, proactively address challenges, and report on progress.
  • Build Team Culture: Contribute to a culture of quick iterations, experimentation and fast feedback loops. Raise awareness within a team of the benefits.
  • Promote an Agile Mindset: Demonstrate an agile mindset, understand its importance, and build strong relationships.
  • Utilise tools effectively, facilitate planning and estimation, proactively address challenges, and report on progress.
  • Contribute to Organisational Agility: Recognise the impact of organisational structure, support change initiatives, and understand key transformation metrics.
  • Shape End-to-End Focus: Understand the product lifecycle, contribute to discovery discussions, and value both technical and product input.
  • Mentor and Coach: Understand the importance of coaching and recognize coaching opportunities. Conduct basic coaching conversations.

Qualifications

Your application should demonstrate understanding of Agile methodology, including:

  • Knowledge of modern agile practices and the ability to apply them effectively in the context of the squad and the business.
  • Actively participate and improve on internal delivery best practice.
  • A proven track record working in and around product & development teams to deliver high-quality products and experiences.
  • Experience and skills working in a technical environment, with the ability to distil complex business requirements into stories and tasks for the team.
  • Scrum Master training and/or certification
  • Skills using Atlassian JIRA (desirable) with an understanding of the sprint performance reports.
  • Digital media industry experience (desirable)
  • Passion for the latest technology.
