We have built a talented team of developers, platform engineers and product experts and are now looking for someone to join our very experienced team as a Senior Backed Developer. 

The Senior Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side systems that power our platform and product. This role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance services, and data architectures. Working closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders, the Senior Backend Engineer ensures seamless system integration while driving best practices in backend development, reliability, and infrastructure. They also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical roadmap of the platform.

• Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering degree
• At least 3 years of proven experience working in mission critical secure backend systems
• Good experience with object-oriented and functional programming
• You must have a good tool set of design patterns that you can combine to build high scalable and maintainable systems
• Must be comfortable with TDD, BDD. You must be able to use linters and code metrics are important for you
• Experience with at least one of the following languages: Golang, Typescript, Java, C
• Good command of the English language (speaking, reading and listening)
• Willingness to learn and be a team player
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Ability to evaluate and plan tasks accordingly
• A team player with excellent communication skills
• Right to legally work in Spain or South Africa 

• Experience in the banking industry
• Experience with Blockchain
• Experience with Ethereum (Quorum, Hyperledger Besu, ...)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cloud Code, Tabnine, or similar)
