Graphic Designer (Remote)

This role involves designing a print-ready A5 wildlife explorer journal tailored for children, with a focus on engaging, adventure-themed layouts. The project centers on creating a fun and interactive experience for young users, incorporating placeholders for Instax Mini photos and sections for wildlife spotting, adventure stories, and nature discoveries. The design must be suitable for thick card printing, black and white friendly, and formatted for A4 folding to A5 with stapled or string-bound binding. The successful designer will deliver a professional, child-friendly layout that encourages creativity and exploration, with flexibility for feedback and layout adjustments as needed.

Deliverables

• Design a front cover featuring a title, name line, and year
• Create a simple, clean back cover with space for a quote
• Develop internal pages with wildlife spotting prompts, writing sections, and adventure story areas
• Incorporate Instax Mini photo placeholders throughout the journal
• Ensure the design is black and white friendly and suitable for thick card printing
• Format for A4 folding to A5, with clear binding guidelines (stapled or string-bound)
• Provide a print-ready PDF and a Canva-editable file
• Implement any professional feedback or layout adjustments as required
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in print layout design, preferably for children’s books or journals
• Proficiency with Canva and/or other design software suitable for print projects
• Strong understanding of child-friendly, engaging visual styles
• Ability to create layouts that are both fun and functional for young users
• Attention to detail in formatting for print and binding
• Ability to work to a 5–10 day turnaround
• Open to feedback and collaborative adjustments
