The Role

We are looking for a technically strong data scientist with a passion for data, AI, and modern cloud technologies. You will help shape and develop our product together with an experienced, high-performing team.

The mission of the Data Team is to evolve and continuously enhance our innovative cloud data platform for the retail industry and transform the shopping experience with data-driven and AI-driven solutions at scale using Azure and Databricks. If you want to take part in building modern Lakehouse and Data Science solutions, then this position could be something for you.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the Data Science strategy aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, architects, and the rest of the organisation to ensure data and AI initiatives create measurable value.
• Design data platform extensions and new functionalites.
• Implement production‑grade data‑science solutions using Python/Spark/SQL stack and relevant ML/analytics frameworks, following software engineering best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).
• Deploy models and analytical services into production and provide ongoing support for live solutions: investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, tune models, and coordinate fixes and enhancements.
• Develop clear documentation, runbooks, and handover materials to enable smooth operation and support by other teams.

To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proven ability to implement best practices in Data Science
• Advanced Python and SQL skills
• Experience with distributed computation tools (Spark)
• Familiarity with architecture fundamentals
• Cloud experience with Azure
• Hands on experience with ML pipelines and orchestration
• Experience with Databricks (or similar platform)
• Proven track record with Gen AI / NLP
• Solid understanding of A/B testing, casual inference and statistics
• Good written and spoken English

It Would Be a Plus If You Have

• Experience working in multi-tenant environments
• Knowledge of the retail domain
