Space Data Architect – Kanton Bern

For our client in Kanton Bern, we’re seeking an experienced Data Architect to shape the data backbone of their space programs. If you thrive on designing scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems and want to work at the forefront of space operations, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and management of data architecture for satellite and ground segment programs.
• Build and maintain data models, pipelines, and interfaces for large, complex datasets.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance across the full lifecycle.
• Implement systems for processing and analyzing mission-critical data.
• Define access policies, safeguard sensitive information, and maintain high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to align data systems with overall program objectives.

Who You Are

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data management.
• Hands-on experience in space programs and DevSecOps or similar frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to navigate complex systems.
• Proactive, self-managed, and solution-oriented.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Business-fluent English; German is a plus.
• EU and/or Swiss work authorization; eligible for security clearance.

The client is open to any kind of contract: Contract, Temp-to-Perm and Permanent.
