Role Description

We seek a Senior Node.js Developer with extensive backend engineering experience to architect, build, and optimize enterprise-scale applications. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in Node.js, microservice design, cloud-native development, and modern backend engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Core Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend architecture.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong knowledge of API authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — especially deploying Node.js apps.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of unit testing and integration testing (Jest, Mocha, etc.).

Architecture & Senior-Level Responsibilities

• Ability to design scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of system design, caching strategies, and queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).
• Ability to review code, enforce coding standards, and guide the team on best practices.
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and propose technical improvements.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with product managers, tech leads, and frontend teams.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical implementations.
• Problem-solving mindset with ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with Serverless frameworks (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and monitoring tools (Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana).
