Role Overview
A leading organisation in the public sector is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen and automate its software delivery and security pipelines. The ideal consultant has a strong background in CI/CD, container orchestration, artifact management, and security tooling, with the ability to support complex environments end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern automation tools
- Manage containerized applications and orchestrate workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
- Maintain and optimise artifact and image repositories (Nexus, Harbor)
- Integrate code quality and security scanning tools into development workflows
- Support scripting and automation requirements using Python and Bash
- Contribute to IAM and authentication system improvements with Keycloak or similar OIDC-based technologies
- Troubleshoot issues across the full CI/CD lifecycle, from SCM to deployment
- Strong experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering roles
- Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or similar
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid knowledge of Nexus and Harbor for artifact and image management
- Familiarity with security and code quality tools: SonarQube, OWASP Dependency Check, Trivy
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation practices
- Good understanding of IAM, SSO, and OIDC-based authentication systems, ideally Keycloak
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across CI/CD infrastructures
