Exzell Pharma is a growing leader in the pharmaceutical industry, committed to delivering high-quality healthcare solutions that improve patients' and pets' lives, looking to grow our OTC portfolio in the Canadian market. This role requires a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Product Manager to join our marketing team and contribute to the development, execution, and monitoring of brand strategies and product plans. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the consumer health market, regulatory landscape, and multichannel promotional strategies.
Position Overview
The Junior Product Manager will bring 2+ years of field sales experience combined with 2-3 years in marketing or product-related roles, within the pharmaceutical, consumer health, or medical sectors, and veterinary products, to lead key brands across our human and veterinary health portfolios. This position also involves collaboration with other departments to align resources, materials, and policies. This role provides key support to the Senior Marketing Manager and collaborates closely with freelancers, agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns that maximize market impact and support corporate growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Development & Portfolio Management
· Own and manage assigned strategic brands, including annual brand planning, positioning, and go-to-market strategies aligned with business objectives.
· Lead product launches, label updates, and portfolio lifecycle projects, ensuring compliance with Health Canada, PAAB, and ASC regulations.
· Develop promotional materials and digital content in strict compliance with Canadian regulatory standards (Health Canada, PAAB, ASC), to engage consumers, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to support sales reps' promotions, events, campaigns and partnerships.
· Manage brand websites, ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and seamless integration with e-commerce strategies.
· Track KPIs, analyze market/financial data, and deliver actionable insights to guide continuous portfolio improvement.
· Deliver accurate financial forecasts, manage promotional budgets effectively, and maximize ROI.
2. Strategic Marketing & Brand Execution
· Provide strategic leadership for e-commerce, optimizing product listings, digital content, and campaigns to maximize reach and conversion.
· Shape customer journeys across retail and digital ecosystems to deliver seamless, engaging brand experiences.
· Translate market and performance data into actionable go-to-market strategies that drive growth.
· Support events and promotional activities, including logistics, content creation, and presentations, ensuring consistent and compelling brand messaging.
· Manage third-party agencies, freelancers, and vendors to ensure efficient resource use, high-quality execution, and compliance with brand standards.
3. Cross-Functional & Team Collaboration
· Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, QA, and Medical teams to secure timely approvals for labels, packaging, and promotional materials.
· Partner with Supply Chain and Administrative teams to align product availability, pricing updates, and demand planning with marketing initiatives.
· Work closely with sales teams (human & animal health) to ensure alignment between brand objectives and field execution.
· Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to Junior Marketing team members, supporting their development and alignment with priorities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, pharmacy, or a related field to pharma and medical; an MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, brand support, or product coordination roles.
- 2+ years of OTC marketing experience in the pharma industry is essential.
- Experience managing both B2B and B2C marketing strategies in the pharmaceutical sector.
- Clear understanding of the Canadian healthcare/pharma market and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Canva, Project management software, Adobe, Hootsuite and Social Media platforms.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage product lifecycles, from launch to growth and optimization.

Language:
· Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an asset.
Technical:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Asana or project management tools, Canva, Hootsuite, with experience using analytics tools to track marketing performance.
· Knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
· Experience in managing both B2B and B2C marketing strategies in the consumer care or pharmaceutical sector.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
· Office & Remote Work: This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with four days in the office (Monday to Thursday) and one day working remotely (Friday). Depending on business needs, Fridays may occasionally require office attendance or attendance at company events. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary during peak periods to meet deadlines, support product campaigns, and achieve team objectives.
