Frontend Engineer - Cutting Edge Satellite Software - Hybrid - Denver, CO

Are you ready to help shape the future of space technology? We are partnered with a pioneering space software company that is building modern, cloud native tools to manage and optimise satellite operations at scale.

You will join a small, highly technical team building the interface that operators use to design, test, and fly fleets of satellites.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be part of a cross functional product team, owning core parts of a mission critical web application.

You Will

  • Build and maintain intuitive UIs that make complex satellite operations feel simple and low friction
  • Design and develop reusable React components in TypeScript using modern frameworks such as Next.js
  • Integrate with backend APIs (GraphQL and REST), focusing on efficient data fetching and responsiveness
  • Collaborate closely with designers using Figma to prototype and refine workflows
  • Contribute to frontend testing (e.g. Playwright or Cypress) and help maintain strong test coverage
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and help improve build and deployment pipelines
  • Speak directly with users to gather feedback and turn real mission needs into product improvements

Tech you will use

You do not need every single technology on day one, but experience with several of the following will be important:

  • React and TypeScript, including building component libraries
  • Next.js or similar modern React frameworks
  • GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Figma for design collaboration and prototyping
  • Git and GitHub within a team environment
  • CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional frontend development experience
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript
  • Proven ability to turn complex workflows into simple, elegant user experiences
  • Comfortable collaborating in Figma and working closely with designers and product managers
  • Experience integrating with APIs and working in a cloud environment
  • Product minded mindset, you think in terms of user outcomes rather than just tickets
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership focused approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands on experience

Security Requirements

  • You must hold an active DoD Secret clearance or above (TS/SCI is a strong plus)
  • Due to export control regulations, you must meet US person requirements (such as US citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

What Is On Offer

  • Hybrid working (2 days in office in Denver, CO)
  • Competitive salary with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Generous PTO, plus most US federal holidays
  • Quarterly company offsites and a strong focus on wellbeing and work life balance

This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team that is redefining how satellites are operated, and to have a direct impact on real space missions.
