Android Engineer - $180K - $240K - Remote - Start Up

James Chase Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Android Engineer for my fantastic Start Up client based in the California and NYC. You’ll work in small, elite teams alongside colleagues from Product, Design, and Data to achieve the best possible outcomes for the learners and the business.

Main duties –

• Bring new features from conception to completion, helping people around the world to learn more effectively by contributing code on Android and iOS — and maybe even web
• Be mindful of the “big picture” from both a technical perspective and a business one, keeping the team on track in terms of “building the right thing” and “building the thing right”.
• Exercise a high degree of autonomy and technical authority on a team that trusts you to do what's right for our users but is there to support you when you need it

You will be a highly experienced Android Engineer with strong experience of -

• 3+ years at a hyper-growth consumer-focused tech startup known for strong product design. If the startup is B2B SaaS, candidate must have spent time working on front-end side of product vs. just internal tooling
• Deep expertise with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Strong track record building and shipping consumer-facing mobile apps with demonstrated experience crafting polished, fluid, UI/UX-driven products
• Comfortable in high-ownership IC roles — no management, but acts as tech lead for own work
