Job Description
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security & Data Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure and Security team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in managing and securing network infrastructures using Cisco ASA/FTD and Check Point Firewall technologies, F5 load balancing. Secondary skills in Cisco Routing(Static/OSPF/BGP) and switching(VLAN, VTP,STP) protocols and operational tools like IP Address management and ServiceNow are essential for this role.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Cisco FTD and Check point firewalls.
- Implement and maintain Firewall policies, NAT/PAT and Site-to-Site VPN/IPsec security configurations.
- Monitor network security posture and respond to incidents(Priority-1/2/3/4), Manage change requests and support network security operations on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform regular firewall rule reviews, health checks, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network design, integration, and security reviews.
- Generate technical documentation and network diagrams for firewall and network configurations.
- Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
- Hands-on experiences in Data Centre switching, routing, and overlay technologies.
- Ability to manage the devices through Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Perform network maintenance and Device upgrades including patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Configuring and troubleshooting the Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls & Wireless
- Knowledge on Cisco ACI and implementation
- Ability to implement and administer network devices (e.g., routers, switches, wireless & firewalls)
- Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Experience in the use of network Monitoring tools
- Support in DR tests/failover
- Providing network engineering support and training to other team members.
- Managing and updating the CMDB on Snow
- Experience with Routers, switches, HSRP, VRRP & GLBP redundancy protocols, Firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting skills by providing support for any network & security related issues
- Experience in monitoring tools like Solar Winds, thousand eye
- Experience in Infoblox.
- Experience in Load balancers such F5(LTM, GTM)
- CCNA/CCNP Security, CCSA/CCSE (Check Point), or equivalent are preferred
- CCNP- Routing and switching or equivalent certification – Preferred
