JOB PURPOSE/ SUMMARY:
The Credentialing Specialist serving as a subject matter expert within Credentialing Section at Naufar Center to guide and shape regulations, policies, processes, and procedures related to credentials, and support credentialing section staff in performing their duties. He/she also support the HR Manager to direct and administer the functions and services of Credentialing Section at Naufar Center. These functions include but are not limited to verify credential documents, the development and implementation of standards, providing advisory functions, and directing necessary administrative services.
GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assumes shared responsibility with the Head of Credentialing Section/HR Manager in the overall operation of the unit and in the implementation of the unit’s programs.
- Participates in the development, review and revision of policies / procedures essential to the operation of the unit; assists in monitoring compliance.
- Facilitate the effective implementation of activities related to verification of professional education, license, license renewal and reference enquiry for Healthcare Professionals seeking employment at Naufar.
- Ensures that all selected Healthcare Professionals candidates are provided with required verification forms and relevant instructions.
- Oversees the timely submission of validated verification documents to Credentialing Section at Naufar Center.
- Responsible for updating the information / credentials documents of each individual Healthcare Professionals in relation to their professional qualifications and Licensing/experiences as per the Job requirement and Registration Authority.
- Acts as resource person for the Healthcare Professionals and clerical staff working with the credentialing and Licensure Section on matters relevant to its functions and their queries. Responsible for maintaining a current registry of registered Healthcare professionals employed by Naufar Center.
- Participates as directed, in administering the functions of the Credentialing and Licensing Committee.
- Assist in the implementation of activities related to verification of professional education, license and reference enquiry for Healthcare professionals employed at Naufar Center.
- Assists in ensuring that all Healthcare Professionals employed at Naufar Center have current professional licenses as per the job requirement and Naufar Policy.
- Maintains an updated record of each individual employee in Naufar Center Human Resources Information System.
- Coordinates with Human Resource Department recruitment section, manpower and Staff Management in facilitating the completion of recruitment procedure for selected Healthcare professional candidates.
- Monitors validity of the professional license of Healthcare Professionals at Naufar Center, and validates renewed licenses.
- Track and maintain all licenses renewal documentation, send reminders to the employee and concerned department when needed.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- BSN- Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing or BS in any field of Allied Health/Health Science or Equivalent.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in health care field/organization.
