Job Description
Challenz is an energetic, challenge-focused social platform that spotlights short-form videos, humor, and creativity. We are looking for Backend Development Interns with expertise in Node.js and Express.js, along with hands-on experience in Supabase and Edge Functions, to help enhance and maintain our backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Create scalable edge functions with Supabase
- Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend services with React Native (Expo)
- Improve backend performance to support real-time video features
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience developing or contributing to short-video applications similar to TikTok
- Understanding of video editing, effects, and processing techniques
- Familiarity with React Native / Expo development
Internship Details
- Duration: 3 months (unpaid)
- Location: Remote (preference for candidates based in New Zealand or Australia)
