About The Opportunity
Join a fast-paced, client-facing talent solutions team that places candidates into meaningful, skills-building projects. As a Business Analyst Intern you'll work directly with stakeholders and project teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements, help deliver analytical insights, and support solution delivery on-site in Australia.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional requirements and user stories for small-to-medium projects.
- Analyze datasets using SQL and Excel to produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards that inform decisions.
- Create data visualisations and presentation-ready materials (Power BI/Tableau or Excel) for stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Support testing activities: prepare test cases, perform data validation, and track defects until resolution.
- Collaborate within Agile teams—participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective activities.
- Maintain clear documentation (process flows, business rules, requirement traceability) and handover artifacts for implementation teams.
Must-Have
- Enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, IT, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
- Hands-on proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and basic SQL query skills for extracting and analysing data.
- Strong written and verbal communication with experience presenting findings to peers or academic groups.
- Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau and basic dashboard-building experience.
- Exposure to Agile delivery, user-story writing, or requirements-management tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Prior internship or project experience in business analysis, reporting, or stakeholder-facing roles.
- Structured on-the-job training with mentorship from experienced analysts and talent specialists.
