Job Description

A major organisation in the banking sector is expanding its IT Service Management capabilities. The ServiceNow team plays a central role in automating and optimising core IT processes such as Asset & Configuration Management, Release & Service Agreements, Incident; Problem Management, and Operational Continuity.

The consultant will contribute to analysis, design, testing, and integration work within the ServiceNow environment, ensuring stable, scalable, and value-driven IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse functional requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Participate in defining backend structures aligned with architectural standards.
• Create and execute functional and integration test scenarios.
• Review technical documentation and ensure consistent updates.
• Handle incidents and defects, ensuring timely resolution and operational
• stability.
• Design and validate integrations between ServiceNow and other applications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams to support smooth delivery.
• Focus on analysis, design, coordination, and problem-solving (no hands-on

programming).

Required Skills & Expertise

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering or IT analysis roles.
• Strong working experience with ServiceNow (minimum 5 years).
• Solid understanding of testing, quality assurance, and incident/problem
• management.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals or another programming language.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with API integrations or API Gateway environments.
• Knowledge of Asset Management or IT Operations domains.
• Curiosity about broader IT infrastructure and related systems.
