We’re now looking for a strong, experienced Head of Legal to join our leadership team. You will be the key legal advisor and the internal compass for regulatory integrity. Your decisions will shape how Narvi operates, scales, and navigates a fast-changing regulatory environment. This is a role for someone who understands both the legal landscape and the commercial reality behind it — and isn’t afraid to drive clarity and structure in a high-growth environment.

Your Role as Head of Legal

The Head of Legal will lead Narvi's legal and regulatory functions, working closely with the executive team to provide strategic legal advice and oversee compliance with global and local regulations. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Acting as a key advisor to senior management on all legal, compliance, and risk matters.
• Developing and implementing legal strategies that align with the company’s growth and innovation goals.

Corporate Governance:

• Ensuring Narvi operates in compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations, including corporate governance requirements.
• Leading board-level discussions and providing insights on legal and regulatory matters.

Contract & Transaction Oversight:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex contracts, including partnerships, vendor agreements, and financial transactions.
• Providing support for cross-border operations and ensuring compliance with multi-jurisdictional laws.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Overseeing compliance with AML/CFT regulations, GDPR, PSD2, and other relevant European regulations.
• Collaborating with compliance and operational teams to mitigate risks, respond to audits, and handle regulatory inquiries.

Regulatory Engagement & Reporting:

• Liaising with regulators and law enforcement agencies to ensure Narvi’s full compliance.
• Managing legal reporting requirements and acting as the company’s spokesperson for legal matters.

Team Development:

• Building and mentoring a high-performing legal team, fostering a culture of innovation, ethical conduct, and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, the following skills and qualifications are essential:

Must-Haves:

• A law degree (LLB or equivalent) and admission to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in the Fintech or financial services sector.
• Deep knowledge of European compliance and regulatory frameworks, including AML directives, PSD2, and GDPR.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract law, and dispute resolution.
• Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience Actual Implications of Legal Decision-Making in a Business Context.
• Since the company is regulated in Finland, Finnish language skills are required.

Nice-to-Haves:
