Job Description Summary

As the AI Algorithm Development Engineer, you will work in a team focusing on reduction on unnecessary alarm in the ICU and Ward environment. The algorithms will be embedded in software applications used to optimize clinical workflows and reduce alarm burden. Approval from HR-Helsinki/Tarja Ristolainen to start for Master Thesis intern hiring for this position a bit ahead of the rest of the interns (approval for all interns will be done with one single workflow when total amount is defined).

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Work with clinicians to classify patient records based on impact of the Alarm event to the patient state.
• Design features based on trends and waveforms that help reducing unnecessary alarms
• Test algorithms with the help of a Clinical database

Qualifications and experience

• Studying for master’s degree in software engineering, biomedical signal analysis, or related field.
• Experience with physiological data analysis with MATLAB or Python.
• Knowledge of machine learning and classification methods
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• EU work permit

Desirable skills

• You work well with others and are known as a team player
• Good communication skills
• Experience in software development
