Our client is continuing to expand and is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their engineering organisation. This role will be central in enhancing and scaling the next generation of their SaaS platform.
Role Overview
- Contribute as part of the SRE group responsible for developing, supporting, and improving 24/7 production and development environments.
- Help maintain strong availability, performance, and scalability across a global SaaS ecosystem.
- Work closely with database, cloud automation, deployment, and application engineering teams to deliver stable, reliable solutions.
- Promote automation, standardisation, and best practices throughout infrastructure and cloud operations.
- Collaborate with security teams to support compliance, governance, and reporting requirements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure consistent system reliability.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, SRE, or DevOps, with a strong focus on automation and scripting.
- Practical background working with Linux and/or Windows in high-availability setups.
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (IAM, EC2, S3, Redshift, Lambda, OpenSearch, VPC, load balancers, auto-scaling).
- Scripting abilities in PowerShell and/or Python.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Solid grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, load balancing).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Degree in Computing, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
Bonus Skills
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows and tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with SQL Server administration.
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Background working in regulated sectors.
- Experience with Agile or Kanban methodologies.
- AWS certifications.
