Senior NodeJS Backend Engineer

A fast growing proptech saas company is looking for an experienced backend or fullstack developer who wants real ownership, real impact, and the chance to shape a core product end to end.

This role centers on taking full technical ownership of a complex platform used daily by thousands of home seekers. You will improve stability and performance, modernize the architecture, and drive new development while working in a small, in house team that makes its own decisions and owns its own products.

What you will do:

• Lead operations, performance, stability, and new development of a central backend system

• Work across backend, infra, databases, and DevOps

• Collaborate closely on architecture, priorities, and future improvements

• Split your time between system ownership and broader backend development

What you bring:

• 5–7 plus years of backend experience

• Strong Node.js and Typescript Skills

• Event driven architecture with RabbitMQ

• PostgreSQL design and optimization

• OpenSearch or Elasticsearch

• Comfortable working with complex production systems

• Good Norwegian skills

Bonus if you know Go, Python, CI or CD, React, or have an interest in AI.
