Senior DevOps Engineer

13 months contract position

Salary Range AED 28,500 per month

The Senior DevOps Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the development and implementation of DevOps strategies that align with ’ organizational goals. This role involves establishing guidelines for DevOps practices, supervising engineering teams across multiple projects, ensuring effective project management, and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive continuous integration and delivery initiatives. The position ensures adherence to best practices and provides leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Architecture Enablement

• Provide technical mentorship to Virtual Architects on DevOps-specific architecture patterns and tools.
• Translate enterprise DevOps guidelines into actionable, project-level practices.

Architecture Deliverables

• Assess DevOps-related High-Level Designs (HLDs) and business architecture deliverables for technical accuracy and feasibility.
• Validate EA artefacts in ADOIT and ADONIS for compliance with established standards.

Project Management

• Act as the DevOps Architecture point of contact in cross-functional strategic projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to architect DevOps solutions aligned with enterprise direction.

Governance

• Ensure DevOps artefacts in EA tools (ADOIT, ADONIS) and collaboration platforms (Confluence, Azure DevOps) are accurate and up to date.
• Govern technical documentation for consistency and alignment with defined standards.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify technical gaps or inefficiencies in current DevOps implementations.
• Propose targeted improvements to architecture leads and system owners for remediation.

Professional/Regulatory/Certification Requirements

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Experience Requirements

• Overall Experience: 7–10 years
• Relevant Experience: 5–7 years in DevOps roles

• Proven experience in setting up a new DevOps capability and managing its evolution, operation, and governance.
• Expertise in selecting DevOps technologies and onboarding programs of work dependent on this capability.
