Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data privacy and security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Monitor and assess compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats to data security.
• Oversee incident response plans and coordinate investigations into data breaches and security incidents.
• Advise and train staff on best practices for data handling, privacy, and security awareness.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure integrated data protection strategies.
• Manage data subject access requests and respond to inquiries regarding privacy practices.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to data privacy and security.
• Prepare regular reports on privacy and security metrics for senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, or similar are preferred.
• Proven experience in data privacy, information security, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of global privacy laws and information security standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and training abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data loss prevention technologies and encryption solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud data privacy and security best practices.
• Project management experience in privacy or security initiatives.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
