Purpose
Centegix is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team! The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in strengthening and scaling the CENTEGIX Safety Platform, the technology that empowers and protects people every day. This role ensures our platform remains secure, reliable, and high-performing through automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous optimization. By bridging software development and operations, the DevOps Engineer helps drive innovation, resilience, and efficiency across our systems so our solutions perform flawlessly when every second matters.
Position Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure on GCP and AWS.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and other monitoring tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Proficiency in managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters.
- Hands-on experience with Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong experience with logging and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo).
- Experience across both cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Familiarity with database management and optimization.
- Knowledge of network security best practices.
- Kubernetes Certification
