Our client is an international bank. They seek a Network Administrator to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining networking hardware and software including managing network hardware redundancy
• Monitoring network traffic performance to identify potential issues (e.g., bottlenecks, latency), forecasting network capacity, and implementing necessary hardware or software upgrades
• Managing network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP configuration
• Diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues
• Providing technical support for users experiencing network-related problems
• Staying informed of emerging network technologies and ensuring network systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations
• Implementing network security measures under CISO guidance, including firewalls, VPNs, and antivirus software
• Monitoring and responding to security breaches, network vulnerabilities, and threats
• Assisting with matters related to security audits and penetration testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in network administration and support of Routers, Switches and Firewall
• Proficient with Network protocols and Cisco networking equipment, IronPort, and CheckPoint
• Experience with network and systems monitoring tools
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• CCNA, CompTIA Network +, CCNP, or similar certifications
