Urgent requirement for a Senior Manager - Integration System Analysis to be based in Doha, Qatar for a major financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Carefully analyze possible software and application program changes to ensure congruence with long-term planning and approved strategy.
- Design, implement, document, and develop applications as per the specified budget and plan.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for Integration System Analysis.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the organization.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Liaise with the concerned business units for their information requirements and follow up as needed to address their business needs.
- Assist customers in their queries on products and seek solutions to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turnaround time.
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve organizational objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk when required.\
- Develop new applications as per user requirements and plans specified by systems analysts.
- Correct bugs and errors by making appropriate changes and retesting programs to ensure desired results.
- Conduct trial runs and perform testing of programs and software applications to confirm that they produce the desired information and that instructions are correct.
- Compile and document programs and perform subsequent revisions, including inserting comments so others can understand the program.
- Perform revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements.
- Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs using workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge of computer capabilities and logic.
- Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
- Investigate whether networks, workstations, CPUs, and/or peripheral equipment are responding properly to a program’s instructions.
- Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams describing input, output, and logical operations, and convert them into coded instructions.
- Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of system software.
- Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
- Comply with existing standards and policies as set by management.
- Use object-oriented programming languages, as well as client/server application development processes, multimedia, and Internet technologies.
- Abide by the Policies and Procedures developed for maintaining Information Security for Data Centre Operations and take active responsibility in achieving, managing, and maintaining the ISO 27001 standard.
- Fully understand user requirements as provided by business analysts.
- Possess knowledge of system design and data dictionary concepts to properly develop comprehensive applications.
- Possess and implement the development life cycle used within the organization.
- Proactively identify areas for professional development and undertake development activities.
- Seek opportunities to remain current with developments in the professional field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- At least 8 years in financial services with specialization in middleware or integration application development or management.
- Experience working with Java, J2EE, Message Queues, Data Queues, and APIs, particularly using IBM integration solutions deployed on OpenShift and IBM Identity Manager.
- Knowledge of development practices and tools to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components aligned with microservices design principles.
- Ability to analyze and improve the architecture of existing systems to meet latest industry technology standards.
- Ability to design secure, highly scalable, end-to-end software solutions for complex implementations.
- Training courses and certifications in systems technology, programming, and banking software.
- Specific training in IT security architecture for web and e-channels.
