The Next Great Challenge Is Coming

We are looking for an experienced Level Art Project Lead to oversee the production of high-quality, realistic environments for Console and PC projects. The ideal candidate combines strong artistic skills and technical expertise, as well as leadership qualities, to guide a team of level artists and maintain efficient workflows, consistent quality and successful project delivery.

you have are

  • Strong strategic thinking and motivation to grow and improve the Level Art team or subdivision;
  • Deep understanding of level art principles: composition, visual hierarchy, scene readability, and environmental storytelling;
  • Commitment to continuous self-development and supporting teammates in their development;
  • Proficiency with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines), including terrain systems, foliage tools, lighting tools, and world partitioning/streaming;
  • Good knowledge of gameplay logic and level design principles;
  • Experience optimizing large scenes for performance;
  • Ability to evaluate work objectively and deliver constructive, actionable feedback;
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills;
  • English level: Intermediate+;
  • Experience working on AAA titles;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a project lead or similar leadership role.

  • Proficiency in major 3D modeling software (e.g., ZBrush, Maya, 3ds Max);
  • Strong understanding of modular workflows and environment asset usage;
  • A knack for creating memorable visual moments that define a level’s identity;
  • Experience shaping visual direction through moodboards, styleframes, and biome research;
  • A strong eye for worldbuilding that blends art, lighting, VFX, and narrative cues;
  • Curiosity for real architecture and nature, turning real-world references into believable game spaces;
  • The drive to push visual benchmarks and explore new artistic or technical techniques;
  • A natural instinct for mentoring and helping artists sharpen their craft.

As a part of Room 8

studio, you will

  • Execute assigned tasks within estimated timelines, adhering to client references and technical specifications;
  • Collaborate closely with the Art and Tech teams throughout all stages of production;
  • Lead and manage realistic environment projects for Console and PC platforms;
  • Maintain high production standards and ensure the artistic quality of the team’s output;
  • Provide artistic and technical support, helping resolve production challenges within the team;
  • Create and maintain art documentation, technical specifications, and production guidelines;
  • Participate in project estimations, test assignments, and evaluation processes;
  • Lead and supervise new projects;
  • Work with game engines for environment setup, integration, and validation;
  • Research new tools, software, and industry techniques to improve workflow efficiency and asset quality.
