Cyber Security Auditor

Position: Consultant / Assistant Manager

Location: Bangalore / Mumbai

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented auditor with deep expertise in technologies, operating systems, databases, and network components including cloud-based environments along with strong audit and risk management skills to deliver global cyber audits. In this role, you will participate in audit engagements and conduct comprehensive end-to-end Cyber Security audit testing to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage in end-to-end cyber audit processes, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables aligned to both department and professional standards.

•Develop detailed audit documentation and ensure all evidence are maintained in accordance with established professional standards.

•Collaborate with stakeholders, technology leadership, control groups including risk management, compliance, and fraud prevention fostering strong working relationships while maintaining independence and objectivity.

•Finalize audit findings and communicate them effectively to management, providing well-judged recommendations to strengthen internal controls and identifying opportunities to improve the design and effectiveness of key controls.

•Coordinate with global audit teams to monitor and flag control issues early, providing timely updates to audit management and business leadership.

•Maintain awareness of industry and regulatory developments impacting the business, and spearhead initiatives to improve efficiency through automation and the adoption of innovative technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

•Well-versed in multiple technology and cyber domains, including Network Security & Perimeter Defense, Data Protection & Privacy, Security Operations & Monitoring, Endpoint Security & Device Hardening, and Architecture.

•Proficient in IT audit tools and techniques with hands on experience in OS, database, and network security reviews, and skilled in performing secure code reviews aligned with business requirements.

•Exposure to Cyber Risk Management, Governance Frameworks, and Security Controls.

•Experience with internal audit methodologies and applying concepts in audit delivery and execution.

•Experience in IT audits for banking and financial applications with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and compliance requirements.

•Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to senior leadership.

•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.

•Experienced in developing trust-based relationships with stakeholders to enable collaboration and informed decision-making.

Education & Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.

•Minimum 4 years of experience in Cyber Security Auditing, IT audit, or Assurance.
