Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Golang Developer to join our team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in building secure, scalable enterprise-grade applications using Go, along with a solid understanding of modern backend engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance secure and scalable Go-based applications.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, microservices, and containerized solutions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while also being capable of independent development.
• Optimize backend systems to meet high-performance and non-functional requirements.
• Follow best practices in coding, code review, version control, agile delivery, and CI/CD pipelines.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Golang with 7–9 years of experience.
• Experience in REST APIs, microservices, and containerization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic-thinking skills.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices and enterprise-grade application development.
• Experience with agile methodologies and continuous delivery processes.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Java development.
• Knowledge of cryptography frameworks in Go and Java.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Interest or exposure to application security or mobile app security.
• Experience working in cloud environments and with DevOps pipelines.
