Hiring: Python Backend Developer (Mid-Level, Contract)

About the Role

We are expanding our engineering organization and building a fully outsourced development team. We’re looking for skilled mid-level Python Backend Developers to create scalable REST APIs and integrate with Microsoft SQL Server. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of QA, DevOps, project managers, and full-stack engineers, working closely with senior engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI preferred; Django acceptable)
• Integrate backend services with Microsoft SQL Server
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, PMs, and full-stack engineers
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Work closely with senior engineering leadership during development cycles
• Complete a short coding assessment as part of the hiring process

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience
• Python experience with FastAPI or Django
• Strong experience building REST APIs
• SQL expertise, ideally with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of version control, CI/CD, and API best practices
