What’s the opportunity?

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Insight Analytics Team Leader to join our growing organization. This role is pivotal in transforming business questions into actionable insights, driving data-informed decision-making, and fostering a culture of analytics excellence. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with business acumen, leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring others in analytics best practices. You’ll be the connective tissue between data and decisions - shaping strategy, accelerating execution, and building an insight culture that compounds value over time.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead and develop the team. Hire, provide feedback, coach, and grow a team of insight analysts; set standards for analytical rigor, speed, and stakeholder impact
  • Translate Business Questions into Analytical Requirements Partner with business leaders and stakeholders (e.g. Product, Commercial, Operations, and Finance) to identify high-value business problems and translate them into clear, testable analytical hypotheses
  • Deliver deep-dive analysis. Run diagnostic and predictive analyses (e.g., cohorting, segmentation, regression, LTV/retention modeling, forecasting) to explain what’s happening, why, and what to do next, leveraging both internal BI data products and external market context
  • Proactively Identify Opportunities for Action. Mine data to uncover hidden patterns, risks, and revenue-generating opportunities, going beyond reactive analysis to drive proactive business value
  • Communicate Insights and Influence Decisions. Synthesize complex findings into compelling, executive-ready narratives. Present insights, recommend actionable steps, and collaborate with business teams to ensure implementation and measurable impact
  • Foster a Community of Insight Producers. Collaborate with other analytics professionals across the business, sharing best practices and building a strong analytics community
  • Champion Analytics Literacy and Training. Mentor and train business users to self-serve data, interpret dashboards, and build their own analytical capabilities

What skills do I need?

  • Proven leadership in analytics. 6–10+ years in analytics or data science with 3-5+ years leading high‑impact teams in product, commercial, or operations analytics
  • Strong technical toolkit. Expert SQL (on cloud e.g. AWS/GCP); proficiency in Python or R using notebooks for analysis; fluency with BI/visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Quicksight, Plotly, Power BI) and experience with orchestration tools e.g. Airflow
  • Experimentation and statistics. Practical experience with test design, power and sample‑size calculations, regression/causal inference basics, and interpretation limits
  • Business acumen and storytelling. Ability to connect analysis to P&L impact; craft concise, executive‑level narratives; and influence decisions across functions
  • Bias to action. Comfortable operating in ambiguity, prioritizing ruthlessly, and shipping insights quickly with clear trade‑offs and follow‑ups
  • Nice to have. Domain experience in payments/fintech, marketplace, or B2B SaaS; familiarity with product analytics, growth, risk, or pricing

How Success Is Measured

  • Adoption and impact. Percentage of recommendations implemented and attributable business outcomes (revenue lift, cost/risk reduction, customer metrics)
  • Time‑to‑insight. Cycle time from question to decision; experiment velocity and win rate
  • Data and self‑serve health. Stakeholder satisfaction (NPS), reduction in ad‑hoc requests due to effective enablement, and quality of curated datasets/metrics
  • Team excellence. Hiring velocity, retention, skill growth, and on‑time delivery against the analytics roadmap
