Network & Systems Engineer

Main Responsibilities

Network Architecture & Design

• Define and maintain network architecture standards using Aruba AOS-CX and Aruba Wireless solutions.

• Design scalable wired and wireless infrastructures for new sites, expansions, and major upgrades.

• Implement redundancy mechanisms such as VSF/VSX, dynamic routing, and high-availability configurations.

Implementation & Operations

• Deploy and configure Aruba CX switches, Aruba Instant APs, and Mobility Controllers.

• Manage the lifecycle of network equipment (updates, patches, migrations).

• Administer Aruba AirWave and/or Aruba Central for monitoring, performance analysis, and optimization.

• Ensure compliance with internal standards, security requirements, and operational procedures.

Access Control & Security

• Administer and maintain Aruba ClearPass (Policy Manager, Guest, OnBoard, OnGuard) for authentication and authorization.

• Develop and implement access control policies, device profiling, and network segmentation strategies.

• Support audit and compliance needs related to network security and access.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Provide senior-level support for complex network incidents and performance issues.

• Conduct root cause analyses and coordinate corrective actions.

• Document incidents, solutions, and lessons learned.

Capacity, Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor network capacity and recommend improvements to meet growth and performance needs.

• Conduct regular reviews of network status, configurations, and security levels.

• Identify opportunities for automation (Python, Ansible) and process optimization.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, workplace, cloud, and application teams on cross-functional projects.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation: diagrams, inventories, reference configurations, and operational guides.

Required Technical Expertise

• Proficiency with Aruba AOS-CX switches, Aruba Wireless solutions, and ClearPass.

• Excellent understanding of L2/L3 concepts: VLAN, STP, OSPF/BGP, QoS, DHCP, and DNS.

• Experience with AirWave and/or Central for centralized management.

• Understanding of network security concepts (RADIUS/TACACS, NAC) and segmentation.

• Asset: Experience with Aruba EdgeConnect (SD-WAN).
