The Projekt
We develop, maintain, and operate a large application cluster that supports various processes around vehicle test and validation at a renowned car company.
As part of our effort to enhance system reliability and automate data analysis, we are building up our machine learning component.
Our goal is to analyze vast amounts of vehicle log data and automatically identify relevant error patterns, root causes, and relationships between components.
We currently use embedding models and similarity search but are actively exploring new and better approaches — so your experience and creativity will make a direct impact.
You
In this position:
- You design, train, and evaluate ML models to analyze log data and extract relevant information.
- You work on integrating ML components and data pipelines.
- You collaborate closely with developers to ensure smooth data flow between systems and applications.
- You continuously improve the ML setup and explore new approaches to increase accuracy and reliability.
- You document your work and share your knowledge within the team.
Required Skills
- Solid experience in Python for data analysis and machine learning
- At least 3 years of practical experience in ML projects
- Proven success in deploying ML models or pipelines into production environments
- Experience with data preprocessing, RAG, or NLP-related methods
- Fluent English and at least basic German skills
Nice to have Skills
- Experience with Quarkus or Java-based backend integration
- Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms
