Role overview
The position focuses on building and scaling automated translation capabilities, fine-tuning language models, and developing engineering pipelines that can be applied across multiple markets. It requires a strong software engineering background with an emphasis on Python, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and applied machine learning. The role will also support early recommender-system features for the core market, later scaling these to further regions and customising content to various culture backgrounds.

Role overview

How you will spend your time:
- Implement and optimise automated translation workflows integrated with the CMS
- Fine-tune existing ML models for market-specific performance
- Build engineering pipelines that are reliable, reusable, and easily scalable
- Contribute to recommendation-system capabilities that will later roll out globally
- Ensure infrastructure is robust, maintainable, and aligned with Terraform-based deployment.
- Participate in sprint planning and collaborate closely with Data, AI, and CMS stakeholders
- Strong Python engineering skills
- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of machine-learning concepts and experience fine-tuning models
- Ability to design and maintain scalable pipelines and generalisable engineering solutions
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in English; German is an advantage
