DevOps / Platform Engineer – Application Observability (Contract)

Hybrid • Up to €65/hour


We’re looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a growing Application Observability team within a large-scale, international technology environment. This team is responsible for the reliability, monitoring, and performance of critical services, and plays a key role in shaping the organisation’s observability strategy.

You’ll work across monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, deployments, and platform improvements—partnering closely with backend, platform, and SRE teams to enhance the reliability and user experience of core services.


What You’ll Work On

  • Defining and refining monitoring and alerting rules for both team-level and organisation-wide systems
  • Collaborating with platform and observability teams to deliver performance improvements
  • Supporting the migration of large Grafana environments from on-premise infrastructure to AWS
  • Improving deployment workflows using Git and ArgoCD
  • Running post-mortems, implementing preventive measures, and driving continuous improvement
  • Analysing system performance, documenting issues, and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with SLAs and operational standards


What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
  • Strong ownership mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS or OpenShift
  • Solid background with observability tooling – Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, tracing, OpenTelemetry
  • Experience designing, deploying, monitoring, and improving platform services
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced engineering environments


Contract Details

  • Rate: Up to €65/hour
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months initially, with potential extension to 12 months
  • Work Location: Hybrid in Vilnius
  • Engagement: Full-time contract
