In this Internship, you will gain experience in SOC - Security Operations Centers work. You will learn how to monitor and analyze security alerts, investigate potential threats.
Location
The position will be based in Madrid (Spain).
Experience you will gain· Monitor security events and alerts using advanced security tools (such as SIEM, IDS, and firewalls) to detect malicious activity
· Analyze logs and network traffic to identify and assess potential security threats
· Investigate security incidents and determine the appropriate response
· Triage and prioritize security alerts, ensuring incidents are escalated when necessary
· Assist in incident response activities, including containment, mitigation, and recovery
· Support rule tuning and false positive reduction to improve detection accuracy
· Ensure all security incidents are documented, assigned, and handled within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
· Contribute to security awareness by educating employees on best practices
· Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to align with industry standards
Job Skills & QualificationsRequired:
· A strong analytical mindset and genuine interest in cybersecurity. You enjoy solving challenges and staying ahead of evolving threats.
· Ability to work effectively in both English and Spanish.
· Currently working on a thesis or graduated.
· Completed coursework in computer science, including subjects such as Networking, Linux, SQL, or Python.
· A cybersecurity certification is considered a strong plus.
