Specialist Engineer - Static (Offshore)

Job Summary

Responsible for providing specialist mechanical engineering support for offshore projects, focusing on static equipment, wellhead towers, subsea cable and piping systems, and brownfield modifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and review mechanical design and engineering for static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.).
  • Provide technical support for offshore wellhead towers, subsea cable routing, and piping systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability studies.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
  • Support modification, upgrade, and brownfield project activities.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure technical integrity in all mechanical deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering - static for oil and gas projects.
  • Strong experience in offshore projects, especially wellhead towers, subsea systems, and brownfield work.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
