We rapidly growing our Lisbon, PORTUGAL branch (there are 30 of us right now, and more joining us every month). We’re actively looking for Senior Embedded Software Engineers to complete our multidisciplinary team.

At our Lisbon, PORTUGAL office, our focus is developing Automotive ECUs for Climate and Temperature management for Electric and Electrified vehicles.

You will work alongside like-minded people in Software Development, Testing and Validation.

About our ideal candidate:

• You are passionate about embedded systems, like to understand how things work and have a good passion for writing well-architectured C code.
• C is your language of choice because you enjoy being close to the hardware when coding.
• You enjoy reading a micrcontroller Datasheet and Reference Manual, because it’s interesting =
• You have been around Embedded systems for 5+ years and are a good team player, with the ability to lead and motivate a team through technical challenges.
• You like working along like-minded people and thrive working in a group.

Desired competences

• Proven experience in developing bare-metal and/or RTOS based embedded systems with strong focus in C programming.
• Excellent capability in developing algorithms to resolve complex problems paying attention to efficient (time) execution.
• Understanding of Embedded Operating Systems (example: FreeRTOS or – bonus - those specific to Automotive such as AutoSAR).
• Great understanding of “system level” concepts, namely the interaction between hardware and software and the end goal of how a system shall behave.
• Experience leading small teams, under the core values of Motivation, Cooperation and Dialog, with great sense of Responsibility.
• Good competences with the English language, including technical writing: we are a multinational team and English is how we communicate.
• Knowledge of Portuguese language is a plus.

Main responsibilities

• Leading your team through the development of Embedded Software under the best practices for Automotive (ASPICE, MISRA, Code reviews, …)
• Organizing and distributing work within your team, acting as a lighthouse to bring everyone to the finish line.
• Regularly communicate your progress and resource availability to the Software Lead.
• Positively participate with suggestions and ideas towards an environment of continuous improvement.

Entry requirements / Preferred conditions

• Academic degree in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, proven professional experience.

Work place and model

• This is a HYBRID position. The company’s offices are located in Lisbon, close to Gare do Oriente (Parque das Nações)
• We usually work 3 days in-office and 2 days from home, but this may be subject to adjustment depending on (peak) work loads as decided by the Lead SW Engineer.
