We are looking for a forward-thinking IT Director to lead a modern, proactive technology function within a growing financial services organisation. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team to drive innovation, strengthen cyber resilience, and deliver scalable digital capabilities that support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a business-aligned, innovation-focused technology strategy.
- Lead a proactive IT organisation that enhances efficiency, data-driven insights, and digital enablement.
- Manage IT budgets, vendors, and technology roadmaps.
- Oversee secure, high-performing infrastructure, cloud platforms, and end-user technology.
- Drive automation, system resilience, and modern workplace tools.
- Maintain DR, BCP, and high availability across regional offices.
- Own the organisation’s cybersecurity program (monitoring, threat detection, incident response, governance).
- Lead the data science and analytics team to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee data platforms, dashboards, AI/ML use cases, and workflow automation.
- Guide the technology enablement team to introduce new tools and improve processes.
- Ensure smooth operation of key enterprise platforms, collaboration tools, and workflow systems.
- Provide technology insights for business units and support transformation initiatives where needed.
- Partner closely with stakeholders to anticipate and proactively meet technology needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 12+ years of IT leadership experience, ideally in financial services or technology-driven organisations.
- Hands-on technical depth combined with strategic planning and governance expertise.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor oversight skills.
- Visionary mindset with the ability to translate innovation into business value.
- Strong people leadership with experience leading data science, engineering, or digital transformation teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior executives.
- Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and risk management skills.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, cloud certifications, or data-related certifications are advantageous.
