Role: Business Analyst
Job Type: Permanent
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
The Role
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for Transaction monitoring for financial crime. Team works closely with front office with a strong quantitative focus. Associate is expected to establish a benchmark for the "model specification" capability. The successful process will then be cloned for other regions across the world. Role primarily focuses on payments but can also include loans and trade transactions, varying by region. The team works with the business to validate and implement the monitoring scope.
Key responsibilities:
- Detailed requirements gathering and documentation.
- Creating granular data mapping and transformation specifications (down to the data element level).
- Moving from traditional Word documents to a Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approach using the "Given-When-Then" syntax.
- To establish a benchmark for the "model specification" capability.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Experience in Transaction monitoring / AFC space
- Ability to create user stories with right analysis and drive the solution in an Agile team
- Ability to write simple SQL queries to be able to perform data analysis
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Working knowledge on Python.
