Python Developer | Melbourne | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) | $116-130k + Super

We’re searching for an experienced Python Developer to join a growing engineering team building secure, scalable, and modern applications that genuinely make an impact.

✨ What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Python (Django, FastAPI, or similar frameworks).
• Building high-quality, production-ready systems with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborating with frontend engineers working in React/TypeScript to deliver seamless end-to-end features.
• Designing and optimising relational data models and queries, primarily using PostgreSQL.
• Leveraging AI-assisted development tools to speed up coding, testing, and documentation workflows.
• Contributing to best practices across version control, CI/CD, testing, and secure coding standards.

💡 What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Python for backend application development.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Exposure to modern frontend technologies (React/TypeScript) is essential.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Practical experience using AI development tools (Copilot, OpenAI-assisted workflows, etc.).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Melbourne-based | Hybrid | 3 days per week onsite.

💰 Salary

$116,000 – $130,000 + Super
