Within this Proximus’ first Belgian center of excellence combining artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, the mission of the Security Management and Incident Response divisions is to protect Proximus, its customers, its business, its operations, and its reputation against any threats, external and internal. You will be fascinated by a highly dynamic environment, a strong collaboration, and very deep technical aspects.
Role Description
The Cyber Security Incident Response Team is a centralized security service, responsible for managing cyber security incidents within the Proximus Group. The team is responsible for delivering all relevant services to mitigate an incident as quickly and efficient as possible and to keep (higher) management updated on the progress.
We are seeking a skilled Software developer to join our Cyber Defense Center (CDC) team, Proximus' internal SOC. The ideal candidate will focus on automating security event handling processes, ensuring efficient and effective responses to security incidents. This role requires a strong background in implementing business logic and API development and integration to support our security operations
Your role
- Automation Design and Development: Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline the handling of security events.
- System Integration: Develop and integrate automation solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing/unit testing and debugging of automation scripts to ensure reliability and performance.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Data & Analytics: Develop scripts and tools to generate and analyze statistics related to security events and automation performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other CDC team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective automation solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes, APIs, and tools developed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and interest in cybersecurity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have experience developing using Python and MySQL databases. Experience within Splunk, Angular and FAST API frameworks are considered a plus
- You are a strong team player.
- You have great communication skills.
- You show integrity & trust while managing confidential information.
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and fluent in Dutch and/or French
